the auction tip of the week..result for a Kilité Noufé sculpture

With the upcoming Koller auction, on 5th December, is a rather good Lobi sculpture at the market, Lot No 151, of an old workshop, probably a little bit more recent exemplare, but analogous to the pictured figure in Scanzi: 123, unfortunately Koller has no detail photos or a magnification tool, showing the patina, but the estimated price seems to be more than reasonable.

A small Kilité Noufé, see Piet Meyer, 1981;155, Lobi Betesi sculpture with a fine, shiny patina was sold for an extremly low price of 650,- Euro plus 20 percent commission at Zemanek in the last auction Lot No 183. The reason for this dumping price is probably the unknown (?) or missing provenance.
